A fisherman has captured incredible footage of a great white shark feeding on a dead whale off South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula.
The shark can be seen circling in the water before going in for seconds at Lincoln National Park.
The animal popped its head up out of the water before chomping into the carcass as fishermen watched on.
“Looks like he’s going in again,” one of the fishermen said.
“Oh yeah, he’s having a good old chew,” another said.
Several sharks have been spotted in the area tearing into the carcass in waters near September Beach.
It is the second time in a week that a whale carcass has appeared along the state’s coastline, with the body of a young sperm whale discovered nearby off the Yorke Peninsula.
Swimmers and boaties around Port Lincoln are being urged to be cautious due to large sharks in the area.
